Origins of Sznurki

Hi there!

I’m Daria, the designer and founder of Sznurki Studio. My journey with handmade fashion started long before the world changed in 2020. I’ve always been drawn to handicrafts, and in 2018, I began crocheting clothes for myself, never imagining it would grow into what it is today.

When the pandemic hit, what started as a creative outlet quickly transformed into a full-blown business. I spent my lockdown knitting tops, blouses, and bandanas for friends, and then their friends, until I opened a mini store.

As orders piled up, I decided to share my love for crochet and knitting by creating patterns and teaching others how to make their own clothes. My workshops and charity events helped Sznurki grow into a community of makers, and things were moving fast!

New Studio Era

As the workshops grew in popularity, the demand for more space became clear. I knew it was time to take a leap of faith, so I partnered with the incredible Jally (@jallymakes), and together, we opened a new chapter. On December 1st, 2024, our dream became reality with the opening of “Soul Sisters”—a cozy and inspiring space in the heart of Sants, Barcelona (Calle Vallespir 67).

This new studio isn’t just a place for crochet and knitting; it’s a home away from home for the Sznurki community. In addition to being the new hub for our workshops, “Soul Sisters” is also a beautiful, event-friendly venue that’s available for rent, making it a perfect space for creative gatherings and intimate events.
